What is Game Anglia Direct?

Overview

Game Anglia Direct is an initiative to help game companies and developers in the East of England improve their knowledge about financing, publishing and discoverability of independent videogames in the UK. It all culminates on the 5th of November with a 3-way event:

- A Direct-style livestreamed video showcasing the best submitted games and studios from the region
- A series of talks and 1-2-1 meetings with industry experts offering the opportunity to get feedback on your pitch
-  A Steam Sale event for all games submitted (whether your game(s) is/are available for Purchase or Wishlist)

Direct-style livestream event (5 November 2025)

Studios and their games' trailers will be showcased to promote the local game development ecosystem.

If you want to take part, you just need to have a trailer ready by 1 October and fill in the participation form. Studios may be selected to take part in a short online or in-person interview which will be present in the livestream event. Depending on the amount of games submitted, we may choose the "closer to playability" games to be included.

We are aiming for a 25-30 minute video which will be livestreamed on Game Anglia's YouTube channel.

Steam event (5-12 November 2025)

A special Steam "Games from East Anglia" event will showcase submitted games which already have a page on Steam. To take part:

- If you already have one of more games available for purchase on Steam, you need to be able to set your games on sale for at least 15% off for the duration of the event
- If your game is only available to Wishlist, just let us know your Steam Page ID (link) and we'll feature your game in the event to be wishlisted.

Pitch feedback and 1-2-1 with industry experts (5 November 2025)

Games industry experts will take part in the event on the 5th of November at the University of Suffolk's brand-new eSports building!

Talks from experts across: financing, publishing, discoverability and community management will take part at the beginning of the day.

In the afternoon, game developers and studios will take part in 1-2-1's with experts and get feedback on their game/studio pitch decks.
