Monkey Hat Games wins Indie Prize at University of Suffolk

This Wednesday, Game Anglia held their third annual event at the University of Suffolk. Present were also a number of independent game developers showcasing their games.

A jury comprised of Mike Bithell, Jupiter Hadley and Dann Sullivan have presided and played all the games present there.

After deliberating, the best game was decided to be Hatchapon, created by Monkey Hat Games! Jupiter Hadley said “Hatchapon was definitely the game with the most potential we have played here and it was a unanimous decision to give them this well-deserved prize. Can’t wait to see how they do in the future!”

Alex Turnbull from Monkey Hat Games, said:

‘It was a fantastic experience for us to be able to showcase our game there, an opportunity we are very glad to have pursued and worked very hard for. It was so lovely seeing people play and enjoy our game and winning was such a pleasant surprise, we never expected it at all but it’s really motivated us even more than ever to carry on and reinforced that this adventure is something we definitely want to be doing together. It’s opened some exciting doors for us, we can’t wait to go to Casual Connect and see where that takes us!’

Part of the ongoing Game Anglia partnership with Casual Connect means that Monkey Hat Games will get to showcase their game at the Indie Prize at Casual Connect!
